- Candidates born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply
Educational Qualification and Musical Proficiency
6.1 Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any
Central Government, State Government, or Union Territory Government recognized School/Board
as on the date of registration.
6.2 Music Ability
6.2.1 Musical Proficiency
- Candidates must have proficiency in music with accuracy in tempo, pitch, and singing one complete song.
- They should be able to perform one preparatory tune and any one of the following notations:
- Staff Notation
- Tablature
- Tonic Solfa
- Hindustani Notation
- Carnatic Notation
- Candidates should be able to tune individual musical instruments (where required).
- Candidates must be capable of matching unknown notes using vocal or musical instruments.
6.2.2 Instrument Proficiency
Candidates must have proficiency in playing any one instrument from List A or List B.

6.2.3 Desirable Qualification
It is desirable that candidates have proficiency in playing
two instruments, one each from List A and List B.
6.3 Musical Experience Certificate
Candidates should possess any one of the following certificates:

Grade 5 or above (or equivalent) in one musical instrument from a recognized music institute such as:
- TCL
- RSM
- KM Music Conservatory
- Bangalore School of Music
- TSM
- GMI
- Berklee School of Music
- Or any other recognized music institute

Diploma or equivalent qualification in Music for candidates performing
Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music from any recognized university.

Certificate of Participation or Awards received in various music events.
For such candidates, performance/playing of blowing instruments with staff notation
as mentioned in the Educational Qualification Requirements (QRs) is required.
Mandatory Medical Standards
The General Medical Standards for Agniveervayu Male and Female Candidates are as follows:
7.1 Height
7.1.1 For Male Candidates
- Minimum acceptable height: 162 cm.
7.1.2 For Female Candidates
- Minimum acceptable height: 152 cm.
- For candidates belonging to North East States or Hilly Regions of Uttarakhand, the minimum acceptable height is 147 cm.
- For candidates belonging to Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height is 150 cm.
Note:
Candidates claiming height relaxation based on domicile of
North East States, Hilly Regions of Uttarakhand, or Lakshadweep
must produce a valid Domicile Certificate with the required endorsement
during the Recruitment Rally.
Candidates from the hilly regions of Uttarakhand must have a specific
"Hilly Region" endorsement on their domicile certificate.
7.2 Weight
- Weight should be proportionate to height and age as per the Indian Air Force medical standards.
7.3 Chest
7.3.1 Male Candidates
- Chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed.
- Minimum chest circumference: 77 cm.
- Minimum chest expansion: 5 cm.
7.3.2 Female Candidates
- Chest wall should be well proportioned.
- Minimum chest expansion: 5 cm.
7.4 Hearing
- Candidate should have normal hearing.
- Must be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
7.5 Dental Standards
- Healthy gums and a good set of teeth are mandatory.
- Minimum 14 dental points are required.
- Dental implants and implant-supported prosthesis are not considered for dental points.
- Candidates wearing fixed or removable orthodontic appliances (braces) will be declared medically unfit.
7.6 General Health
- Candidates must be medically fit for service in the Indian Air Force.
- Must meet all prescribed medical standards.
- Should have normal body structure without loss or deformity of any body part.
- Must be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic medical or surgical illness.
- Must not suffer from any communicable disease or any condition that may interfere with military duties.
